Moments In Time
It is the way of things,
a simple flash generates
a little heat and sparks
the warmth within.
Piercing light glues my eyes.
I watch fat flakes of moonlight
attack the trees leaving filtered
streamers to pelt the ground.
I'm mesmerized by the movement.
With a tattoo of my toes
I kick your bannered light,
gaze at the face of stars that dance
on the fringe of moonbeams
in an arch of meditation.
Mayhap, you're only dreams,
deep pockets of hope
spanning seasons, my reflection
hidden in your folds.
