Small Interior, with Dustbin
A
single-bed, lit where three beams
focus
in a pool, betrays shades
bald
spaces the penumbra
of
things clinging like memories
to
where they once have been,
a
congregation of possibilities
converging
to a no.
Counterpoint.
A dustbin, frog-headed,
sits
at the foot, its open gulp
taking
in the refuse of lonely nights.
