Gimme Golf Enterprises is a Canadian company based on Vancouver Island, Canada. John Pope and Rick Kenedy invented the digger + ball mark repair device in 1996. Rick Kenedy has been the pro at Glengary golf course, Arrowsmith golf course and Eagle crest golf course. Rick came up with the idea of the digger+ ball mark repair device and brought the concept to John Pope.

John Pope is a machinist from London England who has been inventing gadgets from the time he finished his apprenticeship in 1960, he jumped at the chance to invent this great idea. He has these words to say about the digger+ ball mark repair device.
" I'm an addicted golfer who enjoys the beauty of golf and the beauty of level greens. Unfortunately with age comes aches and pains so Rick and I invented this device to help golfers with bad backs and bending difficulties to be able to repair their ball marks on the green without bending. This device has proved it's ability on the greens hands down, now all golfers can repair their own ball marks on the green and feel apart of the solution and not apart of the problem concerning our greens"
