Very few people have been fortunate enough to experience the exquisite pleasures & finesse of fly-fishing the remote tundra lakes and rivers of the Canadian Northwest Territories!

The Thelon River located at the most remote eastern reaches of the Northwest Territories near the Nunavut boundary - has been deemed by the Fisheries Department as one of the best habitats for Arctic grayling in North America!  The grayling run huge here - the average size bring 2.5 lbs., with many running to the 4.5 range.  The largest to date was 5.2 lbs. - just short of the worlds record!  Huge lake trout and northern pike are also found in abundance along this section of river!

#22 lb Northern Pike - a battle in the canoe!

 Big PIKE too!

This coming August, we are offering a special opportunity to float the upper Thelon River on the remote tundra of the Northwest Territories. Using canoes with motorized zodiac support, we will float, camp and fish along the upper 50-mile stretch of the seldom-visited & rarely fished Upper Thelon River.
